What We Do - Services

Practical Support When It Matters Most

ZCCB works together with local organisations to provide women and girls with useful, thoughtful assistance during times of recovery, transition and hardship. From breast care cushions and household essentials to linen for women moving into safe accommodation.

Our projects are designed to restore comfort, dignity and independence.

Small practical acts can make an enormous difference.
Join us and provide thoughtful services to support Women and Girls during recovery, transition and hardship, with care for the everyday things that can help feel more comfortable and settled.

Breast Care Cushions

Our members make specially designed cushions to reduce pressure and improve comfort after breast surgery.

A thoughtful, practical source of comfort during recovery, each cushion is individually sewn and checked to provide gentle relief where sensitive healing takes place.

Around 600

Around 600 cushions are supplied annually to Canberra hospitals and health services.

Home Starter Packs

Home Starter Packs include cleaning products, kitchen appliances and everyday essentials.

Developed in consultation with frontline services, the packs focus on what women genuinely need as they begin rebuilding their lives.

Starting again after leaving domestic or family violence can feel overwhelming. A little support can make a big difference, not only in providing some of the essentials, but also in knowing you are not alone.
