Raising Our Voices for Women and Girls

Advocacy for the safety and rights of women and girls

We raise awareness across the community and within government to advance the safety and rights of women and girls.

Community and policy discussion

Government submissions and stakeholder engagement

ZCCB makes government submissions and engages with key stakeholders to contribute to policy development. This work brings community and gender-lens perspectives to critical issues, including coercive control, women's homelessness, and gender equality in climate change.

16 Days of Activism

Zonta International runs an annual 16 Days of Activism campaign. ZCCB participates through local community initiatives designed to raise the visibility of gender-based violence and encourage collective community awareness and action.

Annual memorial service

ZCCB holds an annual memorial service in Canberra's Nara Peace Park, honouring women who have lost their lives to violence. This provides a dedicated space for quiet reflection, mutual respect, and a collective commitment to meaningful change.

Collaboration and shared advocacy

ZCCB collaborates year-round with like-minded organisations to strengthen advocacy, amplify shared messages, and build an informed, engaged community dedicated to advancing the status and safety of women and girls.
